And a Cherry on Top!

True love has found my Twirly Swirly Girl! Her father and I begin and end our day asking each other "What's the latest?" It seems we are in a perpetual state of waiting for the next moment of romanticism to be shared. "Oh Mom, I didn't know it would be like this!"

Our daughter is one to always be thoughtful with unexpected gifts of favorites, but she is now on the receiving end of someone eager to bring a smile to her day. Organic fruits and flowers, favorite books and movies, candle lit dinners and text messages in the middle of the day. Poems written because more needs to be said. "When can I see you again?"

The sixth of seven children, Joe has five sisters and one older brother. My husband and I think breaths are being held on their end as well. A first invitation to dinner at his house, a shy young man admits to having his sister help him prepare the meal and leave before her arrival. Could anything be more sweet.

The moment to "Meet the Parents" has been discussed and rediscussed. The best impression wanting to be made. We know in our hearts this will be the last boy we will ever have to meet.

A Christmas prayer answered for our daughter who we love. Now is the time for her "When Will She Know".

No I had no idea you had a second job. You are always making something and finding the time to do tutorials. How do you find the energy to do it all? Looking forward to hearing more of this romantic story?

How exciting, E. I know too well how us parents pray for this moment. I also love the "little red people" you made and can't wait to have you tell us more about them. Jud and I are enjoying a break in Sebastopol with old high school friends before he has the next round of tests. Then we get a long break in Mesa, then back here for the SBRT. Thank God for old friends. We have had such a good time just resting and relaxing and laughing...far from the hospital!
I'm seeing people making lots of cool things for your swaps. Really looks like great fun!
Big hugs,
Suz

Oh my gosh, love these little cherry guys, Elizabeth! Hearing about your daughter's new love reminds me of when I was dating my husband and we set up a "parents meeting" dinner.

I got a card over Christmas from my son's girlfriend's parents who told me they think the world of my son and want to get together with me and my hubby. We just love his girlfriend and, while they both need to finish college first, I think this is his "one".

Romantic love is still in fashion isn't it! I'm very happy for your daughter and you. Our son and his lovely Filipino wife will be married one year on Valentines Day and she is the very best thing that could have happened to our family. Hope you will be able to say the same a year from now! The bright colors of your blog are like sunshine to me heart!

Oh how sweet!!! My daughter informed us over the holidays that her and the boyfriend(of 4 years) have been looking at shiny pretty rings and we should expect a phone call this spring to obtain our blessing!!

There is no better feeling than being in love for the first time. It must be wonderful to be able to see your daughter feel this way. I love the eyes on your tomatoe people, very expressive. Have a great weekend.

Oh, dear sweet E,

How wonderful for TSG. I hope and pray this is the one, as she's had so much to deal with in the past few years. It's only fair that some sweet, loving, happiness come into her life. She has nothing but the best role models to learn from in you and your dear hubby. God Bless.

Love ya'
Meri
