We have the most talented ladies in our group, and one of my very favorites is Shirley of Zetta's Aprons. To me Shirley is the quiet member of our community not drawing any attention to herself. Instead she so graciously uplifts each of us with her kind encouragement. Her creations are perfection!
When I saw Shirley's Easter Parade inspired by Sandy's Show and Tell, I just knew there would be much twitter among the characters of my own craft room.
I'm telling you the chatter has been nothing but "Parade, parade, parade!" It's not enough that my planters were happy enough just to sit on their shelf, they were "volunteered" to showcase each parade participant.
Oh, the oohing and aahing as each float passes the assembled crowd. The Grand Marshal perched where everyone can catch a glimpse.
I could make dozens of these sweet parade floats, they are just that much fun. Shirley says she has one more to share with us; and I for one can not wait!
Double duty on this float!
There is always that one right angle turn to make along the parade route. The crowd holds their breath as each float seems to be coming right at them before veering sharply and continuing on their way.
This ambassador of Easter cheer doesn't seemed fazed in the least. He must have complete confidence in his driver!
As with every parade, it's over too quickly. I think I am in agreement with Shirley that you can never have too many floats in a parade. I just might have to add another one or two! Thank you Shirley for all that you inspire..

Wonderful....love it! :) Blessings
Oh, Elizabeth! I just love coming to your blog and getting lost in all of the sweetness. These little 'floats' are just adorable and I can tell how much you love to make sweet things! I will pop over to visit your friend, but no one makes cuteness as sweet as you do!
You are the sweetie,
Shelia ;)
So much talent! I love your Easter Parade. Thank You Elizabeth for having this wonderful and beautiful blog.
Simply adorable!! I have a putz Easter house that will gladly watch your Easter parade pass by. I've got it boxed and ready to put in the mail for you after work!
Awesome, just awesome! :-)
I agree with you, too, Shirley just drops in to visit sometimes and always leaves the sweetest words of encouragement to me.
Thanks for sharing the pretty Easter Parade,
Dorothy
Such a cute idea!! They are so adorable! I remember I just seen an "ABC" planter at the thrift store, I remembered looking right at it and thinking what could I do with this? Hm. Well I could make a sweet baby float! :) Thank you for the inspiration, now I've gotta a planter to go get! (Hopefully its still there!) xo Holly
How adorable! Each one is so sweet. I'm working on Easter spoolies and now I want to make one of these!
gasp ! Look at those perfectly tied bows adorning those adorable creatures ... and the goodies inside how how sweet ! I think Shirley is a trend setter with this one I have to try my hand at this ... XO E ps was in Michaels Monday and saw the "roses" in the dollar bin, another shopper and I debated their purpose and together figured it out :) E (clueless in TN)

love them all! ;p
I love this parade! (Especially the lamb with pink!) It rejuvenated me instead of made me tired!
Oh Elizabeth! For heaven's sake! I'm happier than a pig in a poke...I mean a pig in a float! The parade of felt characters is right up there with the 'Best of Creative Breathing' ever!
These are absolutely charming. What a great way to use those planters!

You're right about Shirley! She's the sweet, silent type. Not one to toot her own horn! lol
But her parade (and yours) deserve a TOOT! lol
Erica :)
Miss E,
In regards to Jenny's papers, they are for "personal use and light commercial use" which mean we can use them on our blogs!

I love your Easter parade! I found a lamb planter very similar to yours yesterday at the Goodwill. My heart stood still and I almost ran to it!
