Distraction Satisfaction

Do you ever go to the scrapbook store with a specific paper mission in mind only to be completely waylaid by just the peek of something out of the corner of your eye?

Just the smallest of glimpses caught my eye in a section I never visit, the baby section. I know that anyone nearby must have heard the rush of breath that escaped my lips upon seeing this print.

I hadn't a plan in mind in at all as I thumbed through Graphic 45's lovely tablet of papers but that I had to make something to share with you here. Just look at the little cu-pees giggling along the border and the sweet faces peeking from the center of the yellow roses. Wonderful!

The sweet babies had me thinking of my own two. Baby birds in their party hats.

My poor son had the misfortune of his mother being all about Lady Di when he was born. I dressed him in buckle shoes and bow ties. This is why my boy characters always wear bow ties! And you thought they were just for decoration.

Crossing your fingers wouldn't hurt either! My babies came on storks shaped like 747 jets!

Your creative posts always manage to put a smile on my face! I had boys about the same time as Lady Di too- funny how we copied her style for the boys.

I think your birds look so cute with their big bows.

You so make me wish I could get creative with paper and Styrofoam like you!

I've had that line of paper for months now....just waiting to hear from my daughter that little one's are on the way. No luck yet. I had my kids during the Princess Di era, too, and I had just gotten back from Germany when they got married and I stayed up all night to see the wedding. Last year when William married Kate my oldest daughter and I stayed up all night to watch their wedding........I love when history repeats and you can share with your children.

Hugs,
Meri

Such beautiful paper, in the old vintage style we love. I know it is way premature, but have you even given thought to what you would like to be called by any future grandchildren? Nanny, Nana, Grandma, or maybe Grammie! It is not too early for me. I already told my children, it is Nanny for me. :) My beloved grandmothers were Nannys, so I would like to carry that on. Sadly, my mom didn't get to meet my children in person, but I made sure they always refer to her as Nanny Charlotte. Have a wonderful rest of the week, Elizabeth.

Too funny! I love the nursery prints. However, my one and only son is a Jr. in college so I am very hopeful that babies will be much later in the future. Then again, you never know when you will need a baby shower gift for a friend so it's good to keep these things on hand!

Blessings

Graphics45 paper is so beautiful, that I hate to cut into it and therefore always seem to buy at least two of each pattern; one to keep and one to use. I love your blog and your writing. Will be a new follower, and look forward to reading future posts.

I LOVE so many of the Graphic 45 papers! Could hardly wait to get my hands on these "Little Darlings". I usually hate to cut into it too, so often buy extra sheets.
You've made some really cute items with the papers and your darling birds!
