Cute for Cute's Sake

Hold on to your pink petal pushers if you love Cute for the sake of Cuteness and the smile it brings to your face.

OMGosh! I have wanted forever to create characters inspired by vintage nursery items, and today just seemed to be the day they were ready to show themselves.

Using paper from an unfamiliar company to me, Paper Crate, the little nursery rattle kept calling to me he was ready to come to life.

I'm so glad he did! I love his little cone shaped hat.

I am so appreciative when someone shares a new line of paper with me; so I hope you will enjoy a peek at Paper Crate.

One line is called Little Boy Blue, the other Little Bo Peep.

These little characters are perfect for my craft room, but oh how sweet they would be made in pink and red, pale yellow and green, pink and blue ..... OMG I get carried away when cute is SO cute.

Please, for personal use only.

I am amazed at what you can do with a couple pieces of felt! Oh my gosh these couldn't be any cuter!! I love crate paper did you see their "Peppermint" collection due out soon? I also found a company called Simple Stories I had to add pieces from their "summer fresh" line to my "collection". As always, thanks for the pattern, I think I "need" a duck :) Elaine

I was feeling sorry for myself for a second, because I totally missed all of your patriotic cuteness, but for me it's never ever too late to enjoy the old red, white and blue!

Such lovely things!!
How cute is that plate! Is it Mary had a little Lamb or Little Bo Peep? I collect vintage children's dishes and cups and many of them have nursery rhymes illustrations. I really love them! My newest post is about Hey, Diddle, Diddle.
Your blog is fantastic!

Just came across this adorable duck and would love to be able to make one for a friend who LOVES rubber duckies and is decorating with all kinds. I think I know what to do, but are there any instructions for what to do first, or how to attach the head to body etc? Thanks!
