You Reap What You Sow!

I spent a night ago at my Twirly Swirly Girl's home as her Joe was out of town. Waiting for her to arrive home from work in the very early morning hours, I busied myself with giving her Big White Puppy a shower.

This is Nahla, and this is exactly the way she was looking at me as I stood naked before her, trying to coax her into the shower. (Explanation later as to why I have told you I was naked other than, of course, I was in the shower)  It is so difficult to get her thick coat wet, that after 20 minutes, I just had to sit on the shower floor to rest my back from bending over. Another 60 minutes later, both of us as clean as whistles, I found I could not get up! There wasn't enough room to scoot my legs underneath myself. She continued to look at me in this same manner.

Exhausted, the two of us, with our girl still not home, settled in to watch a DVD as Joe and Kellye do not have television. My only choice was between "Step'n Up" with Channing Tatum, or "Because I Told You So" with Mandy Moore and Diane Keaton. As the latter is our Mother/Daughter movie that we exchange between our houses; and it is currently at mine, I settled into to watch Mr. Tatum. I had no idea he could dance!

A return home to my own Home Alone television this morning, I looked to see if there was a movie to watch on the Pay for View channel as one a month is in my budget. Low and behold, there was a Channing Tatum movie that said it featured his dancing! OM ............. "Magic Mike" you really can dance!

And now the time is NOW, and I have come to my blog to read the comments left by my friends. OM ........ I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for the endless Male Enhancement Spam that you had to see. I have removed it all, and I have enabled the Word Verification. And now to the "naked in the shower part". Within the last 24 hours I have been naked, I have seen naked, and I have read naked. It's just too much nakedness for me, I am a very modest person!

But may I just tell you, Channing Tatum has a very nice trunk (see post below); and Matthew McConaughey hasn't one at all!

Dear Lord, you had me cracking up! I'm suffering from back pain now so I can sympathize! I can't even describe that movie - funny! My husband was like - "See ya later - definitely a chick flick -I think?" as he ran from the room....Hope you're feeling better!

What a funny post. I know about dog baths. I stand in the tub with the dog while Bob is on the outside kneeling down and we wash as a team like that with a wand I have in that tub. I'm modest too I wear clothes in the tub to wash the dog with pants rolled up.

You are hilarious. Sorry you got all that spam, though.
If you want to avoid all the spam but still make it easy for your regular readers to leave a comment, all you have to do is go into your settings for posts and comments and set it as follows:
Who can comment- Registers users only
Comment Moderation- I have mine set at sometimes, for posts older than 2 days. (because I might not check on the older posts regularly)
And then you can turn that awful word verification off.
It's what I do, and I don't get spam. Try it.

omg!! Ok, got to ask, how did you get out of the shower?? I can relate to the back pain from being bent over giving furbabies a bath! I tackle all four at once. I put them all in the tub/shower. We have the hand held shower thingie, so I turn the shower on, get all four furbabies wet. Then each get no more tears shampoo on their backs. then I start washing one at a time. I usually have to sit on the side of the tub about this time to take a break. Ok, back to scrubbing the furbabies from top to bottom and underneath. then all get rinsed one at a time. I then turn the water off. Each furbaby is lifted out of the tub and dried off as much as I can. Then they are all on the loose. I put a old blankie in the living room floor and the run and slede on this blanket and play on the blanket till they are dried. I am tired out by this time !! Have a wonderful weekend. Will have to watch the movie with the dancing going on!
Hugs,

ps, The big white puppy is just beautiful!

Oh boy - all I can say is - you have one lucky daughter and she has one cute dog! I can't even imagine getting in the shower with my dog - but, I think I might try it, because it is sooooo hard to give her a bath anymore. She is old - I am old! LOVin' the Easter Treats!

lol, i have a big white furry malamute. i am lucky in that there is a chain of stores, Petfood Express, in my area that has a rental dog wash area.

For $12 I get a tiled bath tub that is raised to standing height. It has steps for the dog to walk up into the tub and then has tethers to hook the dog's harness or collar so that can get away from you.

The water is warm and sudsy. It's perfect for a white dog who likes to run through puddles and get dirty. ;p

You've given me an idea. Giving our cat a bath is a battle royale, so now I'm thinking maybe a shower. But I won't be naked. That girl has claws!
My daughter and I recently watched Magic Mike. Not the greatest story, but sometimes we don't watch a movie for it's plot, do we?!

I like your site and your photos are cute. I really like the little corgi dog, I printed the pattern with the intention of making one for a friend. Why do you supply the pattern without posting the directions for construction?

Frustrating.
