I haven't always liked elephants. In fact as a child I avoided at all cost any reference to the wrinkly pachyderms for fear the connection would be made, "E" for Elephant, "E" for Elizabeth by classmate's wandering attention from the teacher to the alphabet picture chart above her head.
Thank goodness my persistent yearly prevalence to my mother to officially change my name was met with the same decline. I now adore elephants with their long memories and old souls.
A Rosie elephant of my own to reside in my beloved craft room was just the perfectly perfect craft to make in celebration of Pink Saturday.
That there just happens to be a Circus in progress on my desk top is just the best coincidence ever!
Who wouldn't extend a "Join Us!" invitation to someone who can carry their own baggage.
Well maybe "some" need a little more convincing ...
when you are likely to become the star of the Big Top.
But even Vernon knows a circus is like a big family, and there is always room for one more.
Truly, this Pink Saturday could not have a Rosier ending!

I too adore elephants and am ashamed of the way we have been treating them on this planet, they being so large and needing so much room on a planet filled with people trying to feed themselves. I am copying out your sweet version to hopefully make when I get away from my retro sewing! Thank you E.
I just saw your shadow box ornament on the OA Flickr site, and I decided to check out your blog. Wow--I love the cute, whimsical projects you have posted! I'm a follower now. :)
Oh Elizabeth, Miss Rosie is so sweet. I also love elephants. I just have to make one. I am just finishing a Bobby the Bat. I will post a picture on my blog. This one will be my granddaughter's, now I must make one for me. I couldn't find the pattern on your blog. I used the owl pattern and drew my own batwing pattern. Do you have a separate pattern for the bat? Hope you, Rosie and the rest of the circus gang have a fun weekend. Hugs to you!
She is just adorable. I love watching elephants. I am anxously awaiting a clown for your circus.....her name should be Petals.
What a beautiful week we have been having. i hope all is going well in your end of town. When is the picnic, or have you had it.

A rosy ending indeed! You clever girl! :)
The bow on your sweet elephant's tail is the perfect touch. Another delightful creation.
Hi E, Oh my goodness!! Miss Rosie, is too cute for words!! I think that your softies can not get any cuter than the ones that already reside in the craft room, but then you create the next softie and she is soo cute!! I am in awe of your amazing talent and I keep praying that maybe just a tiny little bit of it will flow from your craft room to my hands!! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent and your kindness with us!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. We are having lovely fall weather here in the foothills of North Carolina. The leaves are begining to turn and they are so beautiful. We took an afternoon trip to a local church and their pumpkin patch and picked out pumpkins and quords to decorate our home for the Fall season.
Hugs,
Lynn
