Happy Easter To You!
I have said before, and I am sure I will say again, my personal crafting philosophy is "Use What's on Hand!" Individuals to my craft room would be so surprised to see how few supplies I have despite how many things I make. I absolutely adore looking at supplies from a holiday just past to see how they can be used for one approaching.
Truly low on supplies my eye is forced to look at what I do have available to create something to go along with my crafting theme for Easter, "Egg Hunt".
Leftover cardboard rounds from a Halloween project (Michaels $1.99) form the base. A ribbon spool would also work. Paper already in my "stash" looks springy with it's pastel polka dots. No cream paper to create the pinked base, the back of the paper works perfectly because it is the same shade. You do know I love the bottom border of paper, I think of it as my signature, it is just the length to circle the round. Glue stick used.
How many times have you seen sad little Easter trees in the thrift store no one wants to take home? These and any wooden ornaments found can be used in so many ways. Hot glue is applied to tip of cut branch and inserted into made hole.
OMGosh! This is such a cute idea, I just had to share!
Perhaps you haven't collected any wooden ornaments yet, but I'll be you have saved favorite greeting card images from the many individuals who are so generous to share. This cute couple is rushing to hang their Easter garland. So simple to make, so sweet finished.

Hi E, Precious as always ! I found a well loved tree with wooden ornaments at Goodwill the other day think I will give this a try.
Thanks for sharing your cute idea...I love the idea of using the cutouts!
E I have a left over wooden tiny bunny from last years baskets I could do this. Thanks for posting my most talented friend.
Oh E,
These are all so cute but that last one....how sweet! I just pulled out my Easter things, I have to get busy with my swap....I love how you use what you have!!!! My stash has gotten smaller and smaller, I am getting rid of so much since I have decided to do my ancestry stuff with digital scrapbooking....I feel lighter already!
It's great to see what's around and try to use what is at hand...you did a marvelous job of it!
Darling, darling, darling!! I've been pulling out my favorite Easter supplies and can't wait to do soem crafting this weekend.
Thanks for the inspiration, Elizabeth!
That's so very sweet! Thanks for sharing with us Elizabeth!
A cute idea indeed! That's what God said when He made you! ♥
PS I knew I should have kept those ribbon spools! :)
This is just so cute. I can see many different holiday crafts using this as a base.
OMGosh! Cute and clever as can be! Love it!!!!
Adorable, Elizabeth! Yes, great idea to use the spent ribbon spools as a sort of "stage" for something like this. It makes for a great 3D decoration!
oh how adorable!!! I don't have any easter-y wooden figures--but I think that this idea would work awesome with the ones I have!!!thanks for sharing!
I love your blog. I am a new follower. You have a great creative touch. I have just posted some old greeting cards you may like.
What a darling idea. I need to force myself to use the many, many supplies I have at home. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration. Hugs.
Adorable!!!! I agree with Patty at sewing seeds... I would love to see your creative process in action!!!!
Ya know E, I really gotta get back to using what I have on hand. Lately, I've been hitting the thrift stores and going nuts buying more supplies and stuff. I think it's also part retail therapy. These winter blues can zap the life right out of ya.
Sweet! You make the cutest things.
I just finished using spools for my shamrocks. I should post a picture on my blog this weekend.(~~) Julie
toooooo adorable E .. you are just incredibly amazing!
I LOVE this idea too! A few months ago I posted that I had scads of these heavy duty cardboard tubes that come off our large format printer at work. They are about 4" in diameter and very sturdy. You have just given me an idea for them! I can slice them into rings and make these cute little displays. Thank you for always sharing your creativity with us. xxoo Nan
PS, stop by my blog today and check out the little lass you sent me!
So sweet!!! I'm in awe of what you can create with so little. Wish I hadn't passed up that so sad looking Easter tree I saw a couple of weeks ago., but I think there is a scrawny wreath around here somewhere I can pull apart... Thanks for sharing your fabulousness with us, Elizabeth.
