PATTERN:
Print image on full 8x10 sheet of paper.DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Cut out pieces. (Note: I found I wish I had made leaves slightly larger)
Step 2: Button stitch round base with 3 strands red floss.
Step 3: Stitch 3 strands white floss strawberry seeds on top strawberry piece.
Step 4: Button stitch 2 strands red floss strawberry front and back.
Step 5: Using 2 strands red floss, catch each strawberry top at stitches to matching stitch on round base with small knotted stitches hiding floss inside strawberry pieces. Tie off thread. Repeat with each strawberry.
LIGHTLY PRESS AT THIS POINT WITH DRY IRON. WATCH HOW ORDINARY BECOMES EXTRAORDINARY!
Step 6: Straight stitch 3 strands yellow floss each flower piece.
Step 6: Tack together two leaves with 2 strands red floss, come up under flower back and thread small small button to attach leaves to flower. With same thread attach at center of strawberry top being careful to only pierce top piece of felt. (Thank you Joyce, Scrap for Joy for the vintage shirt buttons, perfect for this project!)

It would have looked so cute in my strawberry kitchen but my strawberry kitchen is no more! Maybe me new kitchen will lend itself to a strawberry theme, too but I don't know. That's part of the adventure! ♥

It's driving me crazy that I'm not making time for crafting, because I would loooove to make your penny rug! It looks so perfect under the tulip bowl. Unfortunately, I've got a situation in the gardens that cannot wait. Fortunately for me, and all of us, when we want to make something cute, all we have to do is pop in here for ideas and inspiration!

Thank you for the pattern, this is absolutely adorable!! So your mushroom had a tiddly winks game in it? How incredible is that??!! I also wanted to thank you once again for all the vintage cards you put on flickr. They have been a real inspiration for me. I used one (or two?) And of course gave credit were credit is due. http://dharma-waits.blogspot.com/2010/04/chicken-feeder-to-pin-cushion.html.
